mechanical and steel workshops who operate independently
and are also experienced in ship repair. Electronic
repair facilities are also available, with all major
manufacturers enjoying representation at Gibraltar.

Tugs of up to 2200 HP are stationed at Gibraltar.
Rates of hire are available on application.
Tug services are available for the Commercial Port,
Naval Base and off port limits services.

Medical assistance can be given at Gibraltar.
Airport
The Gibraltar Airport is 1.4Km from the Port.
Malaga Airport (Spain) is about 150Km from Gibraltar.
Eastern Anchorage
Vessels arriving at the Eastern Anchorage must report
when entering the anchorage and, once anchored, must
give the vessel's position to Gibraltar Port Control
which maintains VHF watch on channels 16 and 12.
Marinas
Berths for yachts are provided by three marinas
capable of accepting vessels with drafts of up to 4.5
metres.
P & I Representation
All major Clubs have correspondents at Gibraltar.
Surveyors
All types of surveys can be undertaken, with Surveyors
available within Gibraltar or the surrounding area for
more specific works.
British Registry
Ship and Yacht registration is undertaken at Gibraltar
under the Merchant Shipping (Registration) Ordinance,
1993.
